Students participated in lots of fun experiments this week as they learned about states of matter.
Students worked hard to sort vowels & consonants during workstations.
These students worked on putting words in order to complete their snowy sentences.
Listening to my students read is the most beautiful music to this teacher's ears!
I love the time of year when students want to read aloud to their classmates!
We worked hard to dissect our snowman song. We looked for sight words, consonants, & vowels.
We received our "One School, One Book" books for each family to read together!
Thank you to Mrs. Nolen & Mrs. Tesauro for all their hard work with this fun family oriented reading incentive!
Here are this week's winners of the daily Mr. Popper's Penguins questions:
Students had a race to see who could melt their ice cubes the fastest.
Putting an ice cube down their back was a class favorite!!!
We finished our week with a pancake party to review states of matter.
Students were given the task of cutting their pancakes into 1/2 and then into 1/4 pieces before they could eat it. They did "Pan-tastic"!!!!
Mr. Lin even joined us for our pancake experiment & for workstations this week!
Students pretended to be chefs in the kitchen as they create different play-doh foods & cut them into equal parts for different amounts of people.
Kindergarten & First Graders kicked off our 100th day of school celebration with 100-themed stations. In my classroom, students went on a hunt for 100 kisses! We will continue celebrating the official 100th day of school next week.
These students chose the reward coupon to have lunch in the classroom!
