Peek at the Week

Students continue being smart shoppers as they work on recognizing coins and being able to tell their worth.

Students, parents, and teachers had a great time participating in the Winter Carnival on Tuesday evening!

Teachers planned different games around the school for students to enjoy playing.
I was only able to get pictures of Kindergarten's game.  These kids had a fun time playing Snowball Tennis with their family and friends!

We incorporated math into our reading group to show how many animals were in our story!

We worked on sorting coins by their worth & counting to see how much money we had with the different coins.

We learned about National Symbols.  Students learned about the Liberty Bell, Bald Eagle, American Flag, Statue of Liberty, and the White House.

Students absolutely loved listening to this song as they worked!

We had a lovely Valentine's Party on Tuesday!  Thank you to the parents who donated snack items and those who joined us and helped out!

Gifts from my little sweethearts!

We set up our grocery store this week!  Students will get to go shopping as they practice recognizing coins and reviewing their worth.

We are filling up our wall with popcorn words!  They are popping up all over the place!!!

We worked on these words this week.

We learned about the 1st President, George Washington.

We learned about the 16th President, Abraham Lincoln.

Students worked hard to count out 100 fruit loops to make fruity necklaces.

They were very proud of their counting skills!

Hibernation Day!

Hibernation Day!

We spent the day working in our caves.

Students enjoyed reading the books from their book baskets to one another.

We had a visit from our book buddies in 7th grade.
They read to us & we read to them!

Students brought teddy bears from home and we measured them with cubes.

We read The Mitten by Jan Brett.

We made mittens by sewing the mittens together with yarn.
Students did a wonderful job with their first sewing lesson!

We predicted if the groundhog would see his shadow.
Looks like most want Spring to come early!

We wrote about the groundhog seeing his shadow.
If he's right, we better get ready for 6 more weeks of winter!
